Capital Futures is a privately-owned, global search firm exclusively focused on providing executive talent to private equity and venture capitalist portfolio companies undergoing major transformation and growth, predominantly in the SaaS sector.
Capital Futures sought to enhance their consultants' expertise in delivering comprehensive search solutions across the full client lifecycle. They recognised a need for targeted training to refresh and refine their team's skills in business development, client account management and the end-to-end executive search process. Leveraging FMP Consulting's extensive experience, we designed and delivered a series of in-person sessions tailored to meet these objectives.
Working closely with the Capital Futures team, we developed a series of customised training modules that equipped consultants with a deep understanding of each stage of the search process, from defining the search strategy and identifying candidate prospects to managing candidate experience and conducting effective candidate assessments. We also incorporated a business development module to enhance consultants' ability to build lasting client relationships and proactively expand their networks. Additional sessions included time management and prioritisation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement. These sessions were interactive, combining theoretical insights with practical exercises and role-play scenarios to ensure concepts were fully internalised and could be easily applied in real-world client engagements.
The training sessions have been very well received, with consultants implementing several new and best practices in both search execution and client engagement. Impressed by the initial training, Capital Futures has since requested a proposal for additional consultancy support. This potential collaboration will focus on further enhancing the team's capabilities and refining operational processes, aligning with Capital Futures' growth ambitions and commitment to excellence.
